Fully automated and seamless, this is the kind of kitchen gadget you’d see in smart homes. So I was expecting a golden price tag for this one.
Boy, was I surprised!
This beer brewing appliance is only under five hundred bucks and that’s quite interesting, considering the great features it comes with.
First, the item came just over 24 hours after I ordered it. Which was great.
But the thing is…
You have to order your PicoPaks from their website before you start brewing, which didn’t feel like trouble at all because I was too excited to use this baby.
So here’s how it works…
You get your Pico Paks in their online marketplace, customize it if you want by dragging the virtual hops, grains and everything to a virtual container and your recipe is ready!
Their PikoPaks are made to order so they’re guaranteed to be fresh every day.
And what’s amazing is that PicoBrew partnered with over 100 breweries around the world to get the recipes of their best suds and put it into the little Paks so you can enjoy them in the comforts of your home!
Can you imagine…
I was like a kid in a toy store, giddy as I looked through hundreds of craft beers from around the world. Some I recognized as breweries I came across on my travels.
So if you’re a traveler like me and yearning to get your hands on that craft beer you’ve tasted abroad and just can’t seem to forget, you’ll love this PicoBrew kit.
So I got the Cocoa Vanilla Porter and a British Pilsner to test it out.
Once you put the PicoPak in, the electric brewer will instantly recognize the recipe and start to brew!
It brewed for about 2 and a half hours after which, the liquid will be transferred to the stainless steel keg that came with it. You can monitor the process through its mobile app.
Oh and you can also modify the alcohol content (ABV) and bitterness level (IBU) of your beer.
All in all, your beer will be ready after 10 to 14 days!
Just a heads up.
It’s not instantly all fun right after receiving the package. You have to do some priming to the components first so it’ll run smoothly and flawlessly.
But after that, everything went well.
If you love luxurious craft beers, this guy’s for you. If you have a small place and can’t afford to lose another space for the cooling coils, gigantic pots, and other brewing equipment, this is for you, as well.
Just the one thing that really didn’t go down so well on me was the fact that I can’t use my own raw ingredients for this. You have to use the PikoPak only so that leaves no room for creativity.
But if it’s this impressive and lets me taste my favorite craft beers from abroad without setting foot outside my door, then it’s definitely worth the buck! For that, we bestow the Best Value award to this PicoBrew automated brewing system.

The steam generator in the PicoPro model requires only distilled water as the minerals from tap water can clog the generator and destroy it.

What Is The Difference Between Pro And The C Automated Brewing System?
The PicoPro has more features such as two ball-lock kegs, a CO2 regulator for force-carb, and a party tap, whereas the original Pico shipped with one ball-lock keg, a lightweight aluminum serving keg, and a CO2 regulator that worked with the serving keg. The Pico C uses a stainless steel keg that PicoBrew designed instead of a ball lock keg, which makes it cheaper and easier to clean.
